Seeking a Weekend Manager
The Mark Preece Family House, Hamilton, Ontario
The Mark Preece Family House is a not-for-profit charitable organization which provides a “home away from home” for families of critical care patients being treated at Hamilton area hospitals. We are currently seeking three caring, responsible individuals to fill the position of Weekend Manager at the House.
The Weekend Manager supports The Mark Preece Family House vision and goals by effectively managing the daily operations of the House during the weekend, working one in three weekends. The Weekend Manager is to be on duty from 9:00 pm Friday to 9:00 pm Sunday. There may also be opportunity to work a few evenings per week.
The Weekend Manager will supervise volunteers and cleaning staff, respond to guest needs and uphold the House guidelines.
Qualifications:
 Post Secondary education in a related field
 Minimum of two years of previous work experience in business or human services field.
 Experience working with volunteers an asset
 Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
 Excellent communication skills
 Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations in a calm manner
 Dependable and punctual
 Demonstrated ability to work with families under stress and respond to their needs in a positive and helpful manner
 Ability to enforce policies and procedures while understanding some situations require a compassionate and flexible response
