Seeking a Night Manager
The Mark Preece Family House, Hamilton, Ontario
The Mark Preece Family House is a not-for-profit charitable organization which provides a “home away from home” for families of critical care patients being treated at Hamilton area hospitals. We are currently seeking a caring, responsible individual to fill the position of Night Manager at the House.
The Night Manager supports The Mark Preece Family House vision and goals by monitoring operations of the House during overnight hours. The Night Manager is to be on-site from 9:00 pm-8:00 am, Sunday to Thursday; and is responsible for responding to emergency situations and maintaining house security. This is a sleep shift.
In-lieu of monetary compensation, the Night Manager will receive accommodation in the on-site apartment. All utilities and maintenance costs will be paid by The Mark Preece Family House.
Qualifications:
 Post Secondary education in a related field an asset
 Experience working with volunteers an asset
 Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
 Excellent communication skills
 Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations in a calm manner
 Dependable and punctual
 Demonstrated ability to work with families under stress and respond to their needs in a positive and helpful manner
 Ability to enforce policies and procedures while understanding some situations require a compassionate and flexible response
