The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Hamilton Chapter is seeking a Coordinator, Client Services. Join a
team oriented office of professionals in providing a variety of special services to improve the quality of life
for persons with MS and their families, through research, advocacy, public and professional education and
personal support programs.

This position is a position of trust in Client Services.  The incumbent will be required to complete the
screening process including completion of appropriate background checks in compliance with the National
Screening Measures Policy (2006).

• Provides telephone, office and home support counseling and follow up services to persons with
multiple sclerosis and their families,
• Arranges and coordinates funding for assistive devices,
• Coordinates, monitors and completes program evaluations on support programs including support
group meetings, Yoga program, and Kids Camp Program
• Supports client service program by managing and expanding service volunteers and volunteer client
services programs such as the Client Companion Program
• Assists with the development and provision of educational materials and events.
• Supports the expansion and development of new health and wellness supports.

• University degree or community college diploma in Social Sciences, Social Work, Health Sciences
or a related field with at least 3-5 years of experience in a non-for-profit organization, community
agency and/or health related discipline preferably working with special needs populations or the
equivalent education & experience
• Possess excellent communication/facilitation/presentation skills
• Possess exceptional customer/client relations skills
• Proven experience providing supportive counselling
• Ability to work as a team member with other staff and volunteers
• Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet
• Possess strong organizational ability with strict attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and display sound judgment
• Willingness to participate and/or volunteer at MS Society Fundraising events
• Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle is required

Location: Hamilton. Flexibility in hours and evening work is required.
